Crochet for a Cause |
Resident Lisa Thornberry is offering crochet lessons for FREE at the clubhouse. There are two opportunities to get involved: Tuesdays at 7pm Wednesdays at 3pm Plus, we have a couple of new and exciting opportunities for you to crochet for a cause. First, we will be crocheting infant hats to donate to babies in the NICU at Kosair Children's Hospital. These hats are simple and easy to make--we hope you'll help us crank out a ton of these! ![]() We will also be crocheting dishcloths to include in the welcome baskets that the Community Life Team distributes to new residents. These are a sweet, personal touch that are sure to help new neighbors feel welcomed here at Park Laureate. Crochet is not as complicated or as time consuming as many believe it to be. One new student made an entire scarf after just one class! Come learn a lifelong hobby that you can do anytime, even while you enjoy your favorite TV program. We hope you'll join us! |

After Josie Padilla
moved to one of our new properties to be a Community Life Architect, Lisa
Thornberry stepped in to continue the Crochet Lessons that many of you have
loved! Starting supplies are provided for new students, and new evening classes
are available! Check it out!
| Men's & Women's Bible Studies Still Going Strong! |
It's not too late to jump in and join one of our continuing Bible studies! The men are studying Martyn Lloyd Jones' Studies in the Sermon on the Mount and meet at the clubhouse every other Monday beginning at 6:30pm.
The women meet on the same nights at 8:30pm and are studying Vaughan Roberts' God's Big Picture,
a simple book that traces the storyline of the Bible from beginning to
end and helps readers see a consistent theme and message throughout. For
location details for the women's study, please email us at parklaureate@communitylife.info. Come check it out!
We meet this month on the following dates:
